That is a really nice house. I like that a lot. I wouldn't mind one like that for the Kotanga township when I get that far on my layout.

Re: What I bought today
Yay! just had this delivered by the postman this morning. The stupid thing is though I had to get it on a post free discount deal from Korea to buy it cheaper than I could buy it here in New Zealand.

Re: What I bought today
How much is that Friends set in NZ shops? Its K.Mart price here in Australia is $28. I kinda want to get it but every time I go to buy it I think its just a tree with a few extra lego bricks.

Re: What I bought today
$NZ39.99 for Olivia's Treehouse here in NZ which is waaaaay too much, but all Lego here is stupidly expensive. True that it's an odd wee set in that it's basically just a tree with a few knick-knacks, but it just plain appeals to me as Olivia is my favourite one out of the Friends characters (Most probably because I can really identify with her since I was very much a spanner in hand tomboy when I was young).

The NZ dollar isn't that much less than the Aussie.. So basically another country is getting ripped off because Lego 'can get away with it'.
I apologize to all for my pessimism on this issue.
Re: What I bought today
that's ridiculously expensive. in fact, it may be one the most expensive places in the world for lego... >

Re: What I bought today
Shops around where I live that used to sell Lego now have the major clone brands on their shelves instead. Why? - simply because Lego sets don't sell and will stay on the shelves for months because nobody can afford to buy them.

Re: What I bought today
I just got the Coast Guard set 7739, the big boat and tower. I got it for $50, the box is pretty tattered but I only bought it for the actual set, I need it for my city layout which I have decided will focus on the water/ocean.
BTW, I spent yesterday afternoon watching city layouts on Youtube, WOW there are some mind blowing MOC's. I love the one with the massive island prison, tidal wave and casino.

Wow Snappy I can't believe you picked up those two Indie sets! I looked into getting them a while back but geez they were pricey on BL! You've been really increasing your collection lately I notice
Re: What I bought today
I now have so many sets i don't have a big enough area to display them, so i am working on a new Lego town theme every few months. last month i had "harry potter town" ( set up over 6 trestle tables that had every set with a great medieval look to it) this month i will be working on a mine theme, with Lego indie sets & lots of City mine sets and buildings. & the Maersk train. i think this mining theme will probably be be the best one as i can use lots of sets from lots of themes, that will all tie into the mining themes.

Re: What I bought today
Way cool to get those two Indie sets. I can remember the temple escape from the movie and how much of an edge of my seat experience that was.
Your collection sounds amazing Snaplock, did you take any pictures by any chance?

I think my fav out of the 2 sets is differently The Temple Of Doom cart chase, I loved all the Indie movies and also the Lego indie video games.
I took some pics about halfway through the set up of my Harry potter town ,but never took any pics whilst it was completed. Until i got about halfway through dismantling it and thought to myself " dam i should have taken some pics of that" lol
The next time i will take pics of it completed.
