I just bought sets: 7990 and 7991... I love those trucks, they are fantastic, just a minor modification I did 7990 Cement Mixer, now the driver's sit is on the right side! :legohat:
Am I the only one adjusting driver's sits every possible time?

Hey! I got set 7641, the bus was a little more complicated to adjust in order to have the driver on the right side as well as doors on the left etc. Oh! I just got that one too!, isn't that a nice addition?
Re: What I bought today
funny, I was just wondering if it was easy to modify it so its on the opposite side. :Optimus Dragon wrote:marvinblue wrote:No, I do that as well with all my vehicles that are six or more wide.Optimus Dragon wrote:I just bought sets: 7990 and 7991... What I would do is build it the way that they tell you then switch it around, because i've tried switching things before and sometimes you forget your switching and then its all mixed up! ::

That's actually a fantastic suggestion, I am a little lazy in that... re build thing : , but could be more useful since you have a better idea and perspective of how and where everything goes... So I'll try on my next set
Re: What I bought today
Well i wasnt today but I got my first lego set in a while, which was the assassin BP. It's pretty sweet. The figs are awesome and the speeder is quite slim. Might even do a review!

Re: What I bought today
I got in sale price 7733 Truck and Forklift set. I was some how disappointed with it since there is not many features or details on it, I really like the truck, but I guess after 7990 and 7991 truck sets, they ran out of ideas, I feel that the truck is very simple indeed.
Re: What I bought today
Bought 6752 - Creator Fire Truck yesterday from K-Mart for $67. They had it for $76 plus 15% off. Expect a review once the pictures are cleared at Brickshelf.

Re: What I bought today
I have recently taken delivery of Town Plan and a Cafe Corner from Lego S@H. They came via a friend in NZ to take advantage of the lower NZ prices. There were no extra duties or charges, and the shipping worked out at about $80 NZD for the two sets together.
I wasn't a huge saving over getting it shipped straight to Melbourne, but would be far better if you bought a a few CC's, and were happy to lose the boxes, so as to get cheaper shipping by repacking into NZ post standard size boxes.
I've built the town plan and really like some parts of it

Thats a nice selection of sets. If I can get my act together I might enter, but I'm already commited to the Eurobricks train contest at the moment.
Oh and today my Girlfreind and I were in Myer Northland, and they had four of the RC freight trains. Guess what I bought today?

Aw man, I thought you were better than that. :
Why would you spend money on RC trains when you could be spending money on more 9v? :

Re: What I bought today
I was in Myer today and I wasn't planning on buying anything, but...
I overheard a conversation that someone had opened a 7195 Ambush In Cairo and stolen the 'large' bag before leaving the rest of the box behind some other boxes. The desk clerks were discussing what they should do with the rest of the set so I quickly walked up to the counter and said I'd buy the rest of it, and they sold me the small bag and instructions for 50c. Yay! :
