Re: Finding other AFOL's
This place is a good start. Whereabouts do you reside? state? city?
going to exhibits and displaying a MOC would also get you in contact with other AFOLS.

Re: Finding other AFOL's
As guymontag said, joining ANZFOL was a great move in the right direction. I would also suggest checking out events such as Brickvention and Brick Expo where you'll meet lots of other AFOLs.
Re: Finding other AFOL's
Depending what city your near, you could try a Lego User Group or Lego Train Club. Melbourne has MUGS & M>LTC, Sydney has SydLUG and SLGG, and Perth has the Perth Adult Lego something something ... or in other cities you could try and start your own. You only need a few members to make a meeting fun.
To find your first few members you might try posting here, Eurobricks, Flickr Lego groups (Austrailian AFOLS have a group) etc.
Of course since you haven't filled in your location on your profile here its hard to be more specific.

Re: Finding other AFOL's
I really would love to join a LUG, but I'm a bit too young to be running around the place at the moment. Are there LUGs for teenagers in Sydney, or do I have to wait a few more years?
Re: Finding other AFOL's
Thanks everybody, I am down in Tasmania so we don't really have anything like that here.

I was pretty sure Free Spirt had exhibited in Tassie, so I looked through his posts and found this facebook group;

Yeah I am a member of that group already.
Re: Finding other AFOL's
Well then I suggest exhibiting at any toy or train show that will have you is probably the best way to find new members.

Yes I am going to look in to doing that.

Thanks peterab, It's always great to get noticed for doing some good things for the purpose of promoting Lego.
Sydlug on facebook
Hi all,
I think you should check out Sydlug on fb.
Anyone can join. We have never have had a teenager apply thus far to be an active member - it is something that will be raised at the next meeting.
In the mean time, Sydlug: https://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=122501174440481&ref=ts

Re: Finding other AFOL's
I know there is at least a train group, you can find their site here. Fairly sure there is also an all-theme LUG, but I'll have to get back to you on that.Hemish wrote:Is there a Brisbane lego group?
Re: Finding other AFOL's
I'm not sure if that Brisbane train club is active, I've looked at the site before and there hasn't been any updates for a while. It links to another site to a Heratige train club, but the most recent photos are a year old.

Re: Finding other AFOL's
Turns out it's not, just the site hasn't been updated in a while. A post on Bricks Down Under alerted me to their new website which can be found here.
