Another Canberran!
Hi all,
This site is a good find!!! Here is my story!
I grew up overseas and my family were toy manufacturers. We had a toy factory as well as a store where toys from other manufacturers were sold! Every other toy person in town was my fathers mate and such! So you might have guessed growing up was pretty cool when you have toys everywhere you go.
I still remember my yellow castle and would love to get one.
Have not touched LEGO for close to 20 years! Then a few months back I got a couple of SW minifigs off ebay! Fast forward couple of months and I am not going to publicly admit how much I've spent on LEGO!!!
I suppose toys for play and more run in the family! Currently my biggest worry is that I am a bit of a collector!!! I keep fish so have over 50 fishtanks!!! Dunno where this LEGO thing will end!!!
That's about me I guess.

Re: Another Canberran!
Hey there BrickTango! I too am a Canberran LEGO fan, you Southside or Northside? Have you come accross Canberra Brick Expo?
Re: Another Canberran!
Hi and welcome.
I share a similar story, so you are not alone. The way I see it, I have a lot of catching up to do. So many lost years, but the flip side is Lego just seems to get better and better. As long as the price doesn't get too high and they get the plastic right in the new minifigs, all will be well.
Hope you enjoy the stay and make new friends. Keen to know whats your current favourite theme.

Re: Another Canberran!
Thanks for the welcome guys!
Capt. Zuloo: I live Northside
As far as themes go probably SW is going to be up there due to the fact that it was what made me rediscover Lego. I like Castle due to my memories of my yellow castle. Looking at what is and was out there kingdom, pirate, Vikings anything like that like adventures, Indiana jones, etc Like underwater life so Atlantis is interesting. Really like the modular buildings. Not that into technic but would like to use it to animate MOCs in the future. Like city!
Shoot! Is there any theme I did not mention
I just bought a bulk lot which seem to have 6933 and 6081 in it that I can identify, plus a ton of technic.
Basically I am looking at building a minifig collection (aparently I got over 4500 to collect!!!) and play with creating MOCs. Early days though!

Yep, but sometimes your train layout needs to include a town with a castle, and a sailing ship, and a rocket base ....
