The blind on the windows are nice, are they a new or old design?

You mean shutters? They're new from 2008.

And is the door a sliding door? I can't see because the tables always in the way

I like the model, tan is nice although I bought two of the tan townhouse a couple of years back, so I'd prefer light or dark bley.
I'd also prefer a black roof, but red is OK.

Does anybody else have issues with the new chunky clips on the new shutters. The old shutters are nicer in my mind. Also the 1x1x3 hinge clips are more restrictive as fare as building goes.

There appears to be a new 1x2x4 window in this set which could be very usefull.

It looks like a sliding door to me. The slide peices are pretty cheap and available on bricklink though so thats not a real driver.

Overall I think its a nice set, and would also be good for parts, but not a must have for me.

Yes it looks like a sliding door since it uses the same pieces the Fire Station used for sliding doors. And they wouldnt put 2 doors like that unless they where sliding doors.

I almost bought the old tan house but IDK just didn't really like it. I think Dark/Light Bley would be great! I love bley, its looks more shiney & modern then the old grey.

New chuncky clips? OMG I hate those they look so wierd compared to all the old ones I have. : Also I agree about it being more restrictive, I dont know why they changed it.

True but LEGO rarely put sliding doors in lately [although now in the last year or so they're using it more]

I might get two, one for pieces. :

If their around $50 I might get more than one. I was trying to make a western MOC the other day, and I ran out of tan. I'm liking it how they've got more windows this time, But they could have changed the colour of the roof.

Well I got some more pics of the sets for this year.

There is another great creator set as well, it is the aeroplane one that is yellow. It has the prop plane, another that looks like the harrier and some other plane.

How cool does the Firetruck look?! That's definately a winner for me!! Also, the new house is definatley going into my City layout. I really love the Creator house from the past couple of years. If you don't like it, re-build it!! Sure is an interesting way to renovate......

The only thing that lets them down is a lack of interior. In some ways they just end up being an expenisve shell, but they still look great in a City / Town and it's not like we have alternate buildings!! :
