Hey from christchurch
Hey there every one.
I am James and im 24.
Ive been a fan of lego since at least 5.
My 1st legos was a wee 4 wheeler from the space police I.
Then I got two wee pirate legos :pirate: . I think one came from the Toy Warehouse in papanui and the other was from a farmers store or deka in Timaru.
Then my collection grew from there.
They all eventually got mixed up into a big bucket.
Just resently my intrest in lego has back from checking out the newer lego sets at the stores
The sets have changed so much since I was smaller.
Im eyeing up some of the constuction type models and the technic models.
Well thats me.
Thanks

Hey Alcyone, and welcome to ANZFOL! Like Legois said, it's great to have more New Zealanders about. Have you by any chance built a decent kiwi? Because I have scoured the net for a kiwi MOC to stick in the banner but there aren't any!

Um I havnt yet dug my lego out from the back of my cuboard yet lol
Ive got a good mixture of different coloured blocks.
Also I scored some of my Bros late 1970s early 1980s blocks with original packaging. sadly I think more than half off it was missing.
I really need to put up some shelves etc to put alot of my models (non lego) etc on display. Would also free up some space so I could get into my cuboard
Im very temped to buy some much newer stuff to have a good fiddle with. I just have to pay off some bills
Do you mean a decent kiwi in 3D made off lego ?

Re: Hey from christchurch
Welcome James,
Have a good look at all the new Lego, especially on the Lego website. They have a lot of exclusive stuff which doesn't often turn up in the shops. Also most shops only stock a narrow selection. In particular check out the Modular houses, and the new Emerald Night train. They are particularly aimed at adults and the building techniques are quite amazing when you see them for the first time.

I was actually doing that yesterday.
Im a fan of railways and trains etc. So I mite buy the Emerald Night train. Very nice job they made on it.
Always wanted to get the train lego but its always been too expensive.
A guy I used to know that used to live down the road had the 1st lego train that had the track with plasic rails etc.
He also had a nice lego set up about 16 years ago.
Also I had another mate that had massive amounts off lego years and years ago... I think his dad may had worked for lego NZ or etc.... He got massive loads of lego that was done for display etc.
Had a lego building made with working elevators etc. Was about 1 meter square at the base and a meter high.
Was coloured Red.
He also had a lot off lego priates.
