Lego Trains 'Click Clack' noise around the track help? Empty Lego Trains 'Click Clack' noise around the track help?

Post by SnapLock Sun 23 Jun 2013, 4:45 am

Hi all i have just gotten into Lego 9v trains ( usually have the Pf trains) and while driving the train around the track i noticed when the train went through the intersection piece of track it made a loud "Click Clack' noise as each carriage rolled over it. & it sounded very cool like a real train "Click & Clacking' over track.
I now want that 'Click Clack' noise over my entire track

Is there a way to do this? maybe putting tiles around the exposed studs of the track so the train wheels have something to bump against to make a noise?
Or maybe modding the actual train wheels boogies? (not sure what there called)
Or justĀ  have a train layout that is all crossovers lol:legoheadbang:

Anyways hope someone has some advice or answers as to if the "Click Clack" noise can be reproduced around a layout
Thanks

SnapLock,

The closest I have come to replicating the noise of the old steam trains is by using the old push-along wagons from the 70s.

You know; the ones with the blue and red magnets.

When they go over 9V track, the axles rattle on every join of track.

It is music to my ears.
