Re: What I bought today
Bought a Town Hall and Palace Cinema Modular building today which have been on my wish list for a while since their release.
I am looking forward to building both sets and then having the full series on display at home side by side upon their completion which makes it all worthwhile

Wish I knew precisely also, cause being there on the first day is imperative.. I'll ask them again when I head into town either today or tomorrow.

Re: What I bought today
I found the crossover sections really good when I built my Train Layout but sadly couldn't get enough of them and then struggled to score enough of the Level Crossings to make it work for me.
Nevertheless you have scored well at that price of $49.95

Re: What I bought today
Swung by a nearby Myer and the attendant was kind enough to go out back and grab me 3 of the Horizon Express. Pretty happy with them.
For anyone who wants to know they will be part of the toy sale on this Tuesday.

Buy 2 get 1 free sale @ Myer. Was there just before close and inquired about the H.E and they didn't mind to grab a few from the pallet that just arrived.
Worked out to $106 each

Tell me about it I didn't really want so many but they didnt have stock of anything else expensive so I chose a third H.E as the 3rd product that you get for free. Worked out at 33% that way.
Re: What I bought today
Okay so this was a gamble that paid off well. A guy on Ebay with zero feedback lists a #4559 that's brand new but seals are broken for $200.
I was hesitant but went for it and wow it's nice. There was some custom tape on the box (not from Lego) to hold the lid down etc but it peels right off without issue.
Must say I'm quite surprised at how thick the box is on this set also. I wont be opening the polybags either so it can stay in MIB condition.

Thanks Snappy it does have a nice appearance. Something I found quite annoying about the 9V series is that ridiculously large "Caution Electric Toy" warning and it's obtrusive positioning on the box. I mean couldn't they have reduced it some and put it down in the corner or on the sides or something so it doesn't spoil the fronts appearance..
Re: What I bought today
great score kaila... you are truly the expert and rare finds.
i got my 30 x classic space/futuron minifgs today... only 1 of them has lost the gold leaf, not bad for ~$2 each!

Aww thanks, speaking of such just ordered a perfect condition #6970. Took a chance and am getting it from Italy, the seller seems like a fair guy. Ironically another ebayer listed one and he lives just down the road from me. The set from Italy is slightly cheaper though and the box is slightly better condition
Re: What I bought today
Today i bought the Lego Fire brigade for $215 & & Lego passenger train for $140
And i also purchased the Lego palace cinema for $200 but wont get it until next week
I also purchased a few Lego shell promo sets at the petrol station. filling up the car with petrol has never been so much fun. ( and bad for my wallet )
