Re: What I bought today
Today i got Lego The Lone Ranger Colby City Showdown
I have found that buying Licensed Lego themes usually are disappointing ( Price vs Piece count vs size of set)
This set sadly falls into these category's. Its just a Tiny overpriced set
On the Upside..
It is a nice looking set and has lots of play features I think the Sheriff building is the best out of the 2 however the Bank is where the set is let down
I still think the best value and fun out of all the Lone Ranger sets is the Constipation train Chase

Re: What I bought today
SnapLock,
I agree entirely.
The bank looks awful in that, even if you squint your eyes, it doesn't look like a building.
I'll wait for 3 months and then pick up some for quarter price on clearance.

I am going to hope the movie isn't popular and wait for the prices to drop on the Lone Rangef stuff. I love the idea of a western theme but don't like licensed stuff.

Not really sure yet as haven't opened it, but I just know it's a great set by looking at it The extra track makes it awesome. Think I might get a second in the Myer June sale if I can.

Re: What I bought today
Managed to score a bargain on a 4559 train off Ebay. Bit of a risk though since the seller only had 1 sale to his name It's MIB for a really good price.. sure hoping it works out

Cant wait for the June sale when I think Myer will release the Horizon Express at a good price. Also might be able to pick up a cheaper 79111
Re: What I bought today
I put a 79111 on layby at Myers TTP at 20% off.....so in 2 months I'll be building it.

Yeah, that Horizon Express train is really nice looking, great colour too. I think I will make it my first train purchase.

If it follows the pattern of the Maersk and Emerald Night it will be the centre piece of their mid year sale, with a nice discount. In Melbourne each store gets about six, and they sell out in the first day. Apart from smaller shops that privately import them from the states there was never any more stock in Australia. Hopefully this year will be different.

Im pretty confident of this being exactly the case with the HE. The sales lady winked when I posed the same question in Myer Brisbane and a few months back a couple of Lego reps I met in Target were very warm to it being the case. Have your cash ready
