Re: What I bought today
SnapLock,
When I picked it up this morning, the pictures showed me that there was nothing really special in the box.
Once I think that it is not very challenging, I have to remind myself that it is a kid's toy [ 7-12 ].
Then I dream of what MOCs I can make with the parts when in 5 months time, it is on clearance.

Re: What I bought today
I did pick up at bigw a couple of friends lifesaver sets.
$20 was a bit to pay for 2 blue dolphins but they will look OK swimming in the sea at my Island.

Re: What I bought today
Just bought two of the LEGO Movie "Flying Flusher" set #70811 from my local K-Mart so I can build a convoy of Joe's Plumbing Van's for the purpose of the bigger part of idea.
I've also bought lots of parts from both Bricklink and Pick A Brick which I add was my first time ever hence I am getting very busy and creative to make my own township stand out from the crowd having got started on it

Re: What I bought today
i bought another ewok village today. I figure i'd either make a super large village, or part it down for my town layout, selling the minifigs to cover the cost

I laybyed one for my son last week just in case he actually asks for it !
It's been a tough week cash wise for me......so last week before bad luck hit me I was able to be cheeky.......BigW offered price matching for 4 days......they knocked this down to 70 bucks......silly them they took 20% off their lower price not R.R.P. LOL

Re: What I bought today
As a result of preparing to buy a few parts for my layout I chose to buy the Train Station without any hesitation as I can see myself extending it from behind to make it look more realistic,
Already have a few extra parts on the way for the Café

Re: What I bought today
It didn't take a lot of convincing for me to start my own Arctic Collection with this set having seen how many of the huskies are featured in the box, a great buy for a section of my layout too !!!

Re: What I bought today
I've picked that set up a thousand times but put it down again after agreeing with myself that I didn't need more dogs.
