PF costs on lego.com
So i go to lego.com to price the PF required for my newly built Emerald Night ( ), and i start adding the required parts, and it seems reasonable, so i add a couple other bits for some other projects. So altogether it comes to $86, then i realise it thinks i'm in the US, so i change the shipping destination to Australia and the prices almost double to a total of $164!!!!
Why on earth are the Australian prices to disproportionate to the rest of the world!? They're offering free shipping, but i would rather be charged the US prices and have to pay $45 for shipping!!
This makes me go to bricklink because i can get things so much cheaper there, i know ultimately LEGO still win 'cause i'm buying their product but i need to have a winge!!

Re: PF costs on lego.com
Australian prices aren't too out of step with the rest of the world, US prices are. Pretty much everywhere the wholesale price is the same (though I suspect the US is lower).
Just take advantage of the US price by using a re shipper or contact a US Bricklink store and see if they'll buy what you want and ship it for a reasonable fee. I've done both in the past successfully.

Two good tips, thank you!
I have put the power function projects aside for now tho, there's always something else to do

most of the good deals like that i get from America, i spend hours trolling eBay at least 2-3 hours a day if not more and use a wide variety of search terms. sometimes i get lucky and snap a bargain but not very often.
