Don't have an account? If you're in the Australia and New Zealand region, then why not make one?

It's free, it gets rid of those annoying unrelated ads when browsing the boards, and it only takes a few seconds to set up before you can start posting and discussing LEGO with the great ANZFOL community!

We look foward to seeing you on the boards!

Firstly, deeplinking is merely the process of inserting images into your posts rather than just links.

There are a few things you need before you can deeplink any images.

  • Pictures!!! But they may be no bigger than 800x600 in order to keep loading time down for members with slower connections. If it is any bigger, you will probably be asked to resize it.
  • You also need your pictures hosted somewhere. Some good photo hosting sites are Brickshelf, Flickr and Photobucket, but for the purpose of this tutorial we'll focus on using Brickshelf.

Ok, so you have your pictures uploaded to Brickshelf with your Brickshelf gallery in one window and ANZFOL in another. So how do you make an image go from Brickshelf to ANZFOL?

In Brickshelf, click the image until it the address bar has a photo file extension (.jpg .png .gif).

Copy the URL of the photo to your computer's clipboard, then come to the ANZFOL window.

Insert the URL between these tags:

Code:
[img]Insert your image URL here[/img]

Your image will now come up in your post!

Congratulations, you have just deeplinked a photo into an ANZFOL post. Well done! legohappy:
