Need advice about bricklink Empty Need advice about bricklink

ok so i really want to purchase a good boxed version of 7735. I see many on bricklink and especially from euro countries. Ive heard many warn of high shipping costs etc. Tbh im used to ebay where you can see the shipping cost straight away exactly. But it seems like many of these euro bricklink stores just dont show this shipping cost. Am i right to assume that after hitting the 'confirm' button to buy that then i will get to see the shipping cost? But once i hit that button arent i accepting a sales contract?? Im quite confused legounsure I tried PMing the sellers to ask how much shipping is on 7735 but no replies. Can anyone offer advice please..

Sign on to Bricklink each time you want to buy. Then, when you put an item in your cart, it will show you [ most times ] the weight of the object.

Then go to there 'splash' page where it should tell you shipping prices for each weight level.

If you don't need the box, ask then to just ship the contents; saves you paying to ship Danish air.

I have found that most sellers from northern Europe have reasonable shipping prices.

Good luck. *<legotoungesmall

Thank you very much for this helpful advice. Seems the 7735 is 1.56 kg which is good. The 7740's weight never shows up though unfortunately.

I guess it's bad luck for me that all the current boxed sellers of 7735 are choosing not to display their shipping rates but instead are using 'trust me' slogans >_<

And what's with the 5% paypal slug? Geeeeez...

Edit* ok 1 friendly seller replied and his items were the main ones in good condition that I was after, also he says shipping will be free on a 2nd train purchase.. I'm tantalizingly close to getting 7735 and 7740 right now!

I'm pretty sure 'shipping too high' is a valid reason to cancel an order on Bricklink. Many Bricklink sellers are doing it as a very small sideline so will need to go to the post office to confirm postage costs so it might take a while to get a responce, particularly from different time zones.
