Hey all,

Is anyone else excited about the Sponge-bob Lego coming out in 2012. I find the cartoon comical but until i saw the Flying Dutchman set i probably wouldn't have considered buying sponge-bob Lego. What do you guys think? Are Sponge bob and Patrick pirate savvy?

I'm definitely excited about some sponge-bob pirate-esque lego! I'll probably snatch one up as I love the innocent humour of spongebob :D

I think the ship is quite cute, difficult to take seriously however. Hopefully it's not too expensive (beyond the usual over pricing we can expect from Lego anyway).

It is a really cute little set, and I will want the pirate (with the genie bottom).

So I am in the 'if it isn't too expensive, I will probably buy' group.

It looks good but I think that I will go for the 3818 'Birthday Party' set.

I especially like the 'egg shape' minifig as I don't think he has appeared in any other set.

Price could be a deterrent though.

The egg shaped mini figure is Mrs Puff, she's the driving (boating) school instructor at Bikini Bottom. She appears in set 4982 as well but she's sporting a pretty terrified look and i don't think she's wearing the same clothes.
I haven't purchased any of the current sponge-bob sets. I can only find the space one on Bricklink and the other ones are not appealing enough to justify the price. Sadly i didn't think to get one when Target had 20% off Lego a week or so ago.
