Re: MOC - Bobcat Skid Loader
Now, after some suggestions made over on EB I bring you the new and improved Bobcat !

As you can see it's more true to a real Bobcat in colour and I hope in shape too !

Re: MOC - Bobcat Skid Loader
I actually think the shape of the first one was truer to a real bobcat, but I like the colouring of the second. Both are really well done!

Re: MOC - Bobcat Skid Loader
Well, I was told that I had the back end wrong by a head MOD on EB and if you look at the first image of the real one - the second one is more true to shape - yep, colour on the second is better - there I said it !

Re: MOC - Bobcat Skid Loader
To me I think it looks like the second one needs the back to go just a little higher, but I have no idea how you'd acheive that! A whole stud I think would be too much....

Re: MOC - Bobcat Skid Loader
I see what you mean, but I guess this is a compromise design between the real and Lego worlds.
To raise even a little more of the red section will look totally out of place with the white section which it is still by 1/2 of a plate thickness - at my guess.

I quite like the second one. The rounded back end looks a lot better. I think either colour works well.

Now planning the trailer I noticed it's TOO WIDE !

But it still has a 8 wide bucket, does it need go down to a 6 wide one ?

Re: MOC - Bobcat Skid Loader
Bobcats are pretty small so scale wise a 6 wide bucket is probably better.
