Hi all again, here is my brickshelf gallery for those who have a vested interest in modding the current designs into something a little better. I am not talking major overhauls here either. Just little adjustments. The biggest one I did was the mod done to the underside of my SD to make it more stable as the floor kept well you know falling apart. The other set I had to re-engineer as such was the y-wing. The rear hatch as most of you know was sort of an after thought on legos part. They only did so much and stopped unlike the TIE bomber where they went all out with the design. I took a page from the TIE bombers design and implimented that into the y-wings rear hatch. Even though you can't see it due to the black background I did manage to get a rubber band system into place and it now actually drops them the same way as the TIE. As part of this mod as well I changed the top hatch so it is closed and so the bombs do not fall out during flight when upside down or banking to the side. Also the way it looks it is now flush and you can't tell it opens.

Oh I didn't do much really DL. I just took the extra green cannon sticks that I had left over from the SD and used them to replace the grey ones on the falcon. I also had an extra gear lever left over during construction of the falcon and put that into the center of the cannons to make it appear as the target tracker. At the front section in between the mandibles you can see what appears to be 2 missles which is correct, they are leaning on a blue 1x2 laser cannon which is sitting on a 1x2 hinge piece, so when you open the 2 grey hinge pieces it folds down and is able to fire the cannon and missles. This was a mod done due to ROTJ when Lando is flying it in the space battle and they use the forward cannon to shoot down a TIE and of course the missles were fired inside the DS reactor. I then got those 3-4 grooved pieces that are technic pieces, they are used for gears to move along etc. I placed them in specific places as shown by the pics to make it look a bit more rugged. The inside I didn't mod at all. I did add an extra han from the x-wing set so I don't have to stuff around with getting him out of the cockpit and put him in the cannon. I do have 2 containers that I made for the falcon and it can only hold one at a time, but they do fit in the mandibles at the front. I'll take pics soon and add them.

Those grey cannons were then put onto the shuttle to make the cannons all uniform. Hence the close up of the shuttle.

The y-wing was the one I really went all out on as far as modding is concerned as you can see.

The y-wing is caked with greebles as you can see by the pic there and that is out of the box. No additional adding needed. I'll find the review I did for the y-wing on fbtb and put it here.
