The Municipality of New Castle is hardly nothing new to me however it is time to bring it to light by showcasing here within its own name.

At this stage I am steadily building a Waterfront Hotel which is a little vague having not quite worked the colour scheme I want to use above the two layers of the profile brick, suggestions most welcome legohappy

On the right hand side of the Waterfront Hotel I have just started work on a outside area which includes the Public Toilets legowink

Lets hope the New Castle Shire Council Workers return to work so I can update you sooner rather than later legolaugh

FS, looking forward to some more updates.

Even now, it looks realistic with the land being higher than the water.

Play well!

Update time, a lot of upgrading in New Castle has started after the Lord Mayor went on a spending spree to secure himself a 3 bedroom landmark building called Brownstone which will be revealed next time.

Anyway in his wisdom he sought approval to name the roadway featured at the back of this image as Brownstone Road which will soon host another suburb of New Castle to be known as Brooklin where the new building will stand.

During the next few weeks building and construction workers will continue to build up the parklands and roadways of Brownstone Road and its surroundings for the next unveiling legohappy

Update time again, a few changes in New Castle before the arrival of the 3 bedroom landmark building called Brownstone which I assure you will be revealed next time.

Anyway, as you can see the construction workers have began to build up the parklands and roadways in front of Brownstone Road and its surroundings thanks to the hiring of a landscape gardener who is standing left of the New Castle News Stand legowink

The whole waterfront remains in limbo as I found out that my dimensions on being parallel with the black spindled fence were out a bit so I chose to rebuild it from scratch therefore expanding the size to more of my liking which should be more realistic once completed.

Keep watching for updates legohappy

The tables were custom built by my father with a little assistance from me !!!

I currently have four and wanting more so I can expand the size of the layout however I will have to use my trestle tables until this happens legowink

Your dad is clearly a more superior carpenter than I am... They look great!!

The tables I made are doing the job but the ground they're built on is sloped and I didn't realise, which of course now means the town is sloped, which means making an elevated railway is all the more hard because I have to factor in the ground slope as well as the slope of the track I want legoheadbang

Anyway, I look forward to seeing the next update legoeyeshutlaughing

It has been a month since I revealed that Brownstone would be a major feature of Newcastle and as you can see it is vastly different to any other building in my layout at this stage  legohappy

Sadly, the gardens haven't really improved albeit to say it is winter this time of the year legolaugh

You will notice a few subtle changes such as where the Council Workers are at this stage of the reconstruction of the Main Road and the first red mail box on the corner.

The nightfall of the 19th of June 2015 soon fell upon the town of New Castle with many inside their houses however in the Parklands standing in front of Brownstone were eighteen of the finest baseball players from the New Castle Stackers and the visiting Afterten Clutchers who are standing before legendary sports commentator John Mansfield !!!

The atmosphere was electric as they announced that the township was about to begin construction of a multi purpose stadium very soon.

So watch this space to see its rise legosunglasses

As shown by these photos Brownstone Road is getting longer after making some more room in the garage to add a fourth custom made table that is currently hosting the incomplete Lion Heart Hotel and Black Velvet.

You will notice that my Apple Orchard has made a return which is likely to be supported by a rare custom made extra feature !!!

Update time and as you can see the Main Road of New Castle has been extended to ensure the commencement of the Waterfront Bridge which actually stems from an idea whilst building the walkway.

As a result I plan to buy some more straight road plates and tiles to complete the pavement with a view to build a garden bed along the wall heading towards the bridge and the river which should make it look heaps better.

Anyway that's all for now, happy building everyone legohappy

As you can see the work along the retaining wall is steadily coming together as I have tendencies to rebuild sections as the ideas start to flow such as the steps and white spindled fencing which adds more colour and realism to the look of it.

At least the beach in this photo is cleaner than in the past albeit far from finished legolaugh

My next step is to purchase more white spindled fences and some tiles to finish off the section before paving it and then adding the little extras to finish it off.

Plenty to do which makes all worth it legohappy

As you can see the work on the beachfront and along the retaining wall is steadily coming together as a result of some changes I chose to make to ensure a longer and more realistic view.

The addition of width along the walkway made sense when I built a third set of stairs which are further across to the right after pushing the unfinished Waterfront Café onto the next table.

During my building session I managed to finish off the flower bed along the Main Road and edges of the walkway near the Train Station but like anything I do there comes a time to take a break and reveal it to you legowink

I hope you like the action scenes I provided as well legohappy

Admittedly it is not very often I buy sets however after a bit thinking about how to improve my layout temptation got the better of me and as a result this cool Beach Hut # 31035 got the approval from the Lord Mayor legohappy

Little does he know that its started a new township called Faul which is all part of the big picture and the reason for the pedestrian bridge being declared the border of Faul and Newcastle.

Always looking at ways to make it better and so as I showcase my latest work there remains a strong urge to buy another set or two to make the tables more presentable.

Which ones remain a mystery legowink

As shown I have made further progress with the walkway by adding more bricks, fencing and tiling along this section of the Main Road of the township.

I've started building four bench sets with tables to add a bit of character to the walkway in readiness for the next section which remains in waiting having chosen to concentrate on getting this one in better shape albeit the beachfront is fairly bare at this stage with the exception of the doggy poo and the surfer in the water legohappy
