Today i bought the Imperial Shuttle 10212 from Big W at Mount Ommaney in Brisbane, it is my first piece of star wars Lego (I'm going to have to eat my words because i previously said i'd only consider buying the death star) - I just finished building it with my partner, although he's still going on his wing. It's a pretty epic build and i don't advise sitting on the floor to do it (sadly we didn't have table space large enough). I can't get over how huge it is...If anyone is interested you can pick one up from Big W Mount Ommaney as they have one more left in stock. It scans at $445 but they've reduced them to $349 because they found two in the store room and the boxes are pretty well worn. I think it's about the same price as bricklink and eBay if you add shipping (one US seller charges $350 with free shipping to AUS) but i hate waiting for my Lego to arrive, the anticipation kills me and postage is so slow at Christmas time.

Just grabbed two of the new Brick Storage Carry Cases for just under $25.00 each from Big W

We got the public transport set from toys r us for $99.99, which is a crazy price for that set.

Anita, I've been wanting to get that set for ages...

The Toys R Us online store is sold out, and knowing my luck, I'd drive the 30min to the Mt Gravatt shop and they'd be sold out too. Plus I'd have to wait until the weekend and parking would be atrocious.

My husband went on his lunch break on Monday after we rang to confirm they had stock. Thankfully they did (we were worried at that price they would be sold out). We are near the Aspley store.

Permission to buy my own Christmas present from my non-observing wife, and the Portal of Atlantis is mine!

Now I have to have it sitting in the living room staring at me for three damn days before I can get my hands on it and start building... On the bright side, my kids are now demanding we rebuild all the other Atlantis sets we have so we can play with them all at once, and what kind of a Dad would I be if I refused them? :D

In a great way to finish off 2011 I finalised my LayBy of the Red Cargo Train # 3677 so I guess all can say now is happy new year !!!

My first western themed set being the Gold City Junction # 6765 arrived today which I cannot wait to build !!!

This will add life to the other minifigures I have bought during the past few months...ride em cowboy, yeehah

Cargo train (7939) plus some extra track on the weekend. I will post up some photos once I have my layout finished.

Yesterday we got the 4440 new city police station (with masonary bricks and bear), a small ninjago set with more masonary bricks and snakes and the new fire engine.

And the UPS man will be bringing me the Friends Cafe and Vet today.
