This is based on set 8436 with a tray and loading arm made by me legohappy The main problem I had was with getting the angle of the loading arm right. I tried a few different methods but found this worked the best.

Nice work! The lift arm is good.
If you could somehow get the gears underneath the truck, and use normal bricks on the sides instead of technic ones, it might look bit smother.
