I am new here, did a forum search, came up with no hits, so here goes...
I am stuck on the above named set. I cannot interpret page 170 (step 69) which would connect the bottom turret.
I have built both turrets, and they appear as they should in the instructions, but it seems that there is no securing mechanism for th bottom turret.
So any help would be appreciated.
cheers, Craig

Do not be jealous, you are probably quite intelligent.
I, clearly, am not.
In absolute frustration, I asked my wife (who thinks Lego is childish) to have a look at my problem.
As I described it to her, I realised that I am a super dooper numbskull.
All sorted, nothing to see here people.
I wish I could delete the OP.
I had the lower and upper turrets mixed up, I do not know how or why, it is just how I interpreted the illustration.
/me facepalms in front of a totally new audience.

Don't worry about getting an instruction on a set that size wrong.

I have got much simpler instructions wrong. And maybe getting your wife to help was the seed to spark her interest in building (she will secretly hope you don't understand another step, so she can have a play).

Dr Rock...As I recall I did the same thing with my Sandcrawler where I got to point where couldn't find a certain colour brick only to find that I had put the one I wanted into position at the bottom legoheadbang

All of us here are human and can make mistakes so enjoy the ride and may the force be with you !!!

Thanks people,
Sorted one issue, I am at about 98% built, and I am down one 6 * 16 plate.
I think I must have used it when I should have used a 6 * 14.
My largest build by a long shot, and clearly quite a forensic investigation to find my error.
I wanted to blame my kids for borrowing a piece, but they protest their innocense.
Not likely my wife will ever pick the bricks back up. I think she believes taking the kids and I to Legoland earlier this year was her worst ever mistake, besides how much fun we all had.
