Hi

Just wondering if the actual Lego minifig keyrings that you see on ebay etc is of the same quality as a standard minifig? I presume the keyring is glued together so it wont come apart, but that hasn't stop enterprising individuals from pulling the metal ring out of the heads and selling them as minifigs. Any of you guys done anything like this (for your moc etc)?

thanks in advance.

They are the same standard as the normal Lego, except with the chain out of their head. Never used it for a MOC though, it would be a interesting concept to see someone try.

The magnet sets however are usable, because the minifigures are just put together like normal bricks.

I've sawn of the chain, but they are exactly like a normal minifigs except the hat, legs and head don't come apart but the hands and sometimes the arms do. Sometimes the back of the torso has a printed LEGO logo on it.

Years ago when they were Town minifigs, Dad and I used to buy them and cut the chain off, so we could bolster our Fire and Police services, (most that I remember were either coppers or firies). Their hats and heads wouldn't come off, but that never stopped us!!
