Update time and as you can see the Main Road of New Castle has been extended to ensure the commencement of the Waterfront Bridge which actually stems from an idea whilst building the walkway.

As a result I plan to buy some more straight road plates and tiles to complete the pavement with a view to build a garden bed along the wall heading towards the bridge and the river which should make it look heaps better.

Anyway that's all for now, happy building everyone legohappy

As you can see the work along the retaining wall is steadily coming together as I have tendencies to rebuild sections as the ideas start to flow such as the steps and white spindled fencing which adds more colour and realism to the look of it.

At least the beach in this photo is cleaner than in the past albeit far from finished legolaugh

My next step is to purchase more white spindled fences and some tiles to finish off the section before paving it and then adding the little extras to finish it off.

Plenty to do which makes all worth it legohappy

As you can see the work on the beachfront and along the retaining wall is steadily coming together as a result of some changes I chose to make to ensure a longer and more realistic view.

The addition of width along the walkway made sense when I built a third set of stairs which are further across to the right after pushing the unfinished Waterfront Café onto the next table.

During my building session I managed to finish off the flower bed along the Main Road and edges of the walkway near the Train Station but like anything I do there comes a time to take a break and reveal it to you legowink

I hope you like the action scenes I provided as well legohappy

Admittedly it is not very often I buy sets however after a bit thinking about how to improve my layout temptation got the better of me and as a result this cool Beach Hut # 31035 got the approval from the Lord Mayor legohappy

Little does he know that its started a new township called Faul which is all part of the big picture and the reason for the pedestrian bridge being declared the border of Faul and Newcastle.

Always looking at ways to make it better and so as I showcase my latest work there remains a strong urge to buy another set or two to make the tables more presentable.

Which ones remain a mystery legowink

Looking good FS.

Perhaps you could accentuate the difference between the water and the land. legohappy

Have a look at the blue plates underneath the minifigs outside the house; does water rise so regularly? legorolleyes

As shown I have made further progress with the walkway by adding more bricks, fencing and tiling along this section of the Main Road of the township.

I've started building four bench sets with tables to add a bit of character to the walkway in readiness for the next section which remains in waiting having chosen to concentrate on getting this one in better shape albeit the beachfront is fairly bare at this stage with the exception of the doggy poo and the surfer in the water legohappy

The Municipalty of New Castle - Page 2 Snapsh10

Its been a long time between posts and as a result I have chosen to reveal my current project to create atmosphere around the Town Hall which is slowly taking shape.

As it stands I want to add lots of flowers along the walkway into the building and add plenty of minifigures such as the featured Deputy Mayor enjoying his ice cream, Saxophone Player busking in the street and the Soldier holding the rifle.

Nice update FS!! Interesting choice with the tomb stones in front of the Town Hall, I'd like to know the story behind that, if there is one...?

Basically there currently is no church built at this stage which puts me in a situation of where to put such important areas for patrons to remember their past loved ones.

I chose the Town Hall because of what I am going to display as part of the upcoming exhibition on the 23th and 24th of April 2016.

Lest I say no more until then legowink

Just spent the day relocating my favourite pastime to a place where it will be staying for a while, the new shelving.

Sadly my custom layout was pulled apart to make way for a complete overhaul in both the garage and LEGO room which is expected to take some time.

It's going to be hard not being able to complete what I started building over twelve months ago but over time who knows, it could be better once the renovations are complete !!!
