Hi all! Welcome to another 2013 City review, this time its the Cement Mixer. I bought this as I wanted to update my Maintenance Crew's Cement Mixer. I wasn't really sold on the original model in blue and this new version also has the moveable cement chute, just like a real one. When I saw released pictures of the model, I knew it was going onto the shopping list! Like the Flatbed Truck, I bought it from Myer on sale for $24. The truck went together fairly easily, with no major hassles. It takes about 30 minutes to go together and the whole set looks pretty good once finished.

Name: Cement Mixer
Theme: City
Year: 2013
Pieces: 221
Minifigs: 2
Price: AUD $29.99 (S@H)

Overall, I think this is a pretty cool set. It has been fairly well designed, although I was disappointed that there were no attachment points for the hand tools. I think that yellow is much better than blue and the chute works really well. Having said that, if you don't angle the rear yellow bullbar and chute properly as you rotate it around, it gets caught up quite easily and breaks off.
This set certainly is a great addition to anyone's City layout, particularly if you're you have the need for a cement mixer.
I reccommend this set!

Enjoy!

Another excellent review 'MB', the best set of the series this year....only a water hose that you see on the real ones is missing.....a step up from the 2007 model.
Another wheel barrow, oh, I love Lego finally producing a realistic wheel barrow last year ! legohappy
By the way, line up the barrow with the back of the cement slide, turn the knob slowly and the pouring action is perfect.
