This is my first attempt at a landscape, so go easy

Nice MOC Captain! I love the SNOT water, although I'm not sure about the SNOT beach. I would suggest using some tan plates and raising them for the beach. Also, perhaps tiling the grass and using plates underneath the tiles to make them look more uneven and random and hilly is the way to go.
But nice MOC, now let's see a band of pirates camping there.

I agree with Zuloo, that you should try and break up the grass a bit, but I don't think you should tile it. I think just adding some more green plates in clumps would help. I like the beach but raising it one plate might help, also using tan plates instead of tile towards the cliff might add the effect of sand which the waves havent smoothed over.

From my experience with train layouts, mountains are often held up with odd things like Duplo bricks
