And inside:

The first rumours of a 2010 Modular Building have surfaced at Eurobricks. The rumours come from Legomilk who has in the past had reliable information. I'd guess he gets to see the preliminary photos in a retailers catalogue.

His description is that it will be a yellow and gray corner building, and consistent with the name is some sort of a shop.

Sounds good to me, and it confirms that modular buildings will continue past the original plan of three buildings.

ANZFOL is proud to announce its first building contest: Build Your City Contest! The idea is fairly straight foward. You build something from your city. Be it natural landmark, a building or a vehicle, if it is found in your city, build it!

The more unique to your town or city the better.

The rules are as follows:

The contest will run from today, the 3rd of September until 6:00PM (Canberra Time) on the 30th of October.

One 800x600 image (maximum) of your MOC plus one 800x600 image ...

Someone posted this on Flickr and gave a link to the Amazon Page where they found it.

I really like this set! It looks great, I love the new direction City is going so far with less emergency services and focus more on everyday things.

This truck looks like a great but simple build and looks like they based it on past trucks that worked well (Prisoner Transport/Tow Truck)

And green garbage can!

I will definatly be picking this up!

I'm a member of M>LTC (melbourne lego train club). M>LTC plans to display a layout at Brickvention 2010 and would like to extend an invite to any of the interstate train clubs/individuals to participate with us. This might be anything from bringing a layout, adding a module to ours, or displaying buildings and other Mocs, vehicles and rolling stock on our layout.

Do you build in 6 stud...or 8 stud?

I build in both depending on the loco im doing. I prefer 8 stud in terms of detailing, you can fit much much more. Plus the scale is better.
On the other hand, the trains become unwieldly and very expensive due to the large number of parts!

Welcome to the next installment of my reviews, the Family Home. I bought this to be another addition for my City. It was purchased from K-Mart at the regular price. It took about four hours to build the house on the front of the box. Most of that, however, was taken up looking for little bits in the parts pile! I think if everything was laid out, it probably wouldn't take that long.

Welcome to the next installment of my City reviews, the Tow Truck. I bought this as it is another one of the latest additions in the City line. I bought it from K-Mart on sale, although the regular price isn't much more. It's a little harder to build as opposed to the Sports Car and has twice as many pieces, but its still fairly easy. It takes about 20 minutes to go together and looks pretty good once finished.

My First Review

So I decided to start with one of my two most recent sets, 7631 Dump Truck : The reason I bought this set, was that it looked nice and was reasonbly cheap. Unfortuanly I wasn't able to get it on sale : I have to admit it was really quick to build it took me around ten minutes. : It fits in great with all my old construction city stuff, the construction part of city never really goes away, from its old sets.
